Bio:

The Droste dogs are owned by Lindsey and Roy Droste of Elkins, AR.

Artie was born sometime around May 15, 2004. He is a chocolate lab of excellent disposition. He is a trained therapy dog and has also been CGC certified. He will soon begin rally obedience in Arkansas and therapy work there as well. He is dark chocolate in color with a white blaze on his chest and was rescued from the Ashland, WI pound on August 10, 2004 after being picked up at midnight sleeping on a local Lake Superior beach. He was unclaimed and Lindsey snatched him right up at the cute puppy age of 8-10 weeks old!

Annie is a 3 year old boxer girl. Her age is an estimate as well, as she was also taken in at the Ashland, WI pound after running along Highway 13 north of Mellen, WI and getting caught by the county dogcatcher. I thought she for sure was owned by my friend who was on her honeymoon at the time, so we took care of her until I got a hold of her, only to find out it wasn't her dog! Noone claimed Annie, and we were quickly attached! Sad news--Annie left us on May 31st, 2006 shortly after 8 pm. She was hit by a car shortly after she jumped our fence. She is dearly missed and will be in our hearts forever.

Brew is a 2 year old boxer who made his way into our life through a stroke of fate several days after Annie's death. He came into Springdale Animal Services after my co-worker picked him up on a late-night callout. He was roaming around with his pit bull girlfriend who had had a litter of his puppies. She was tazered after acting aggressive to some officers and he was snatched up too. I located his owner six months later, and found out Brew was purchased as a breeding dog for $1200 + a trade of a pit bull. He's now neutered and living the life of luxury with us!
